I have been doing genealogy for over 30 years and will search genealogical records for you for a minimal fee. I will look up obituaries in The Paris News and provide copies of these to you if they exist. For other comprehensive type searches, I will charge by the hour. Payment must be made before the search begins. You may pay by sending a money order (address provided upon request) or by using PayPal.
My fee schedule:
- Obituary look up - full date of death provided to me:
- $10 for the first obituary (Fee is payable even if obituary is not found)
- $5 for each additional obituary requested at the same time

- Western Star: January 3, 1851-December 20, 1851
- Lamar Inquirer: September 4, 1856- October 16, 1856
- Dinner Horn: 1924, 1927, 1929, 1933
- Lamar County Echo: January 1973 - December 1989
- Paris News: March 24, 1909-1911, March 24, 1916 - present
- Other research:
- $20 per hour for searching local resources
- Other services are available and cost will be determined after discussing the scope of your request. For example:
- Help you get your research organized using my color-coded notebook system
- Help you get started entering your data into a genealogical software program
- Help you locate records to prove your DAR, SAR, UDC, SCV, etc. lineage
